Mrs. Lisa Cochran's Happenings

Third Grade News

We read Twenty and Ten, which is a story about 20 Catholic children helping 10 Jewish children during World War II.  Mr. Ladd, father of Falyn, did a wonderful presentation on World War II.  He stressed the importance of understanding that it was Hitler and the Nazi party that were bad, and not all Germans.  We are getting ready to read the Biography of Anne Frank and learn about her experiences during the war.

The children are very interested in the Holocaust, the war, and all that the Jewish people and those that Hitler deemed unacceptable, had to endure.

We are also studying the Old Testament and are learning about the stories and experiences during the time before Jesus.
We are hoping Mr. and Mrs. Crisp will be able to talk to us about their experiences on their trip to Israel.
